A. City Central
This area is a triangle bounded by 18th Avenue, Chambers Street and the Willamette River. City Central includes government offices and the University of Oregon. Many restaurants and entertainment venues are located here. The area is a mix of offices (including ours), retail opportunities and residential living. You'll find senior apartments and student housing within walking distance of one another. Established shopping areas include the downtown, 13th Avenue and surrounding streets of U of O, Fifth Street Market area and Saturday Market/Holiday Market. This is a window-shopping, pedestrian-friendly area.
B. South Eugene
South Eugene: South of City Central, this largely residential section of Eugene is bordered on the west by Lorane Hwy. and Chambers, north by 18th Ave., with I-5 to the east. Developed commercial opportunities are concentrated near Willamette Ave. and become somewhat sparse south of 27th Avenue. At 27th and Willamette is a multiple-block area of well-established, recently updated and varied retail options. Additionally, there are individual retail opportunities located throughout this area.
C. Willow Creek
Lying in the southwest part of Eugene is a mixed area of residential, retail and industrial usage. Its northern border is West 11th Ave. and eastern borders are Chambers and Lorane Hwy. The residential section of this area is diverse and includes magnificent view homes above Chambers Ave. West 11th Ave. is a focal point for coastal travelers and locals who require services, such as auto repair. You'll also find many building-trade storefronts in this area. Fast food establishments are sandwiched between them all.
D. Bethel-Danebo
Situated in the northwest corner of Eugene is this triangular area that runs west to Fern Ridge Reservoir and is bordered by West 11th Ave. and Hwy. 99. The area includes residential, although this is a well-developed industrial area. Retail shopping runs along W. 11th, Hwy. 99 and off Beltline Rd. intersections of Royal Ave. and Barger Dr.
E. River Road-Santa Clara
This area is bordered by Hwy. 99 and the Willamette River. Other than the industrial areas of Prairie Road and River Avenue (both near the Beltline Rd.) this is primarily a residential neighborhood. The area has diverse retail marketing opportunities as residents of nearby east, west and north-lying communities are funneled into this area via connecting roads to Beltline Rd. Centrally located River Rd, Hwy. 99, and Beltline Rd. are all well established commercial areas. These areas offer primarily single destination shopping.
F. Willakenzie
Just north, across the Willamette River from City Central, is the Willakenzie area. Bordered on two sides by the Willamette River, its north and eastern borders are the McKenzie River and I-5, respectively. Coburg Road, one of the city's most attractive commercial areas, runs north-south through the center of this residential neighborhood. Situated at the south edge is Oakway Center, a modern, attractive retail shopping area with a variety of services bordering it. To the west, also near the river is Valley River Center, Eugene's only mall. At Coburg Road's intersection with Beltline Rd. are many more retail opportunities. This area continues to develop and expand.
